Welcome to the website of the Stray Dogs, the Capital Region's best source for live acoustic music. All band members are veteran area musicians who have played throughout the region in a wide range of musical ensembles including bluegrass, blues, country, rock, and everything in between! These varied musical tastes and influences turn up in every performance, so you will never be bored at a Stray Dogs show!
The Stray Dogs consists of Dave Kaskoun on guitar, sax, and vocals,
Marty Satalino on guitar, violin, mandolin, and vocals, and
Jeff Maynard on bass and vocals. Recent additions to the band include Nate Coyne on percussion and Josh Greenberg on sax. The Dogs have "made a mark"
at area venues, playing gigs in Saratoga, Albany, and throughout Rensselaer County. Notable performances have included opening the Summer Concert Series at the Empire State Plaza (shown below), this year's Friehofer Run for Women, and playing at the Plaza Food Fest as well.
You can find The Dogs playing monthly gigs at Brunswick Barbecue and Brew, one of the Troy area's best
